In the spring it is important to prepare the ground for sowing in as few passes as possible, to avoid making tracks which will provided a better seedbed. With the VSS Agro front soil preparer it is no longer necessary to till the soil twice, even with heavier types of soil. This saves a lot of labour and time.

The machine is mounted on the fore carriage and can be combined with a drilling or planting machine and/or other soil tilling equipment behind the tractor. Together with a tilling machine the VSS AGRO front soil preparer performs the preliminary tilling of the ploughed land. The levelling spring tines level the soil at the same time.

The standard type in constructed as follows: At the front there is a V-shaped tubular roll with a diameter of 500 mm, which regulates the depth. Behind the V-roll there are two rows of spring tines, the height of which can be adjusted by means of a top bar or hydraulic cylinder. Behind the spring tines there is the patented soil-crumbling T-roll.

To use the VSS AGRO front soil preparer in combination with a drilling or planting machine, the spring tines can be replaced by 3 rows of large vibrating spring tines. A 2-part spring mounted levelling board can then be installed behind the soil crumbling T-roll.
